KOKODA BATTLE TREK & BEACHHEADS TOUR

There's growing interests among many trekkers doing Kokoda to visit the beachheads at Gona, Sanananda, and Buna on the north coast of Papua New Guinea. The Battle of the Beachheads has notoriety in the Second World War as one of the most ferocious battles in our military history following the Kokoda Campaign. Many soldiers lost their lives on the beachheads so going back there is signifcantly important so we can remember and pay them our respects. It can be a very sombre and emotional experience for many of us who have had relatives or a family member serve at Gona-Sanananda-Buna. If you plan on visiting the beachheads, contact us today so we help arrange a good trip for you - a trip that not only focusses on military history, but one that takes in the sights and sound of beautiful Gona, Sanananda, and Buna!

Three children die every week from cancer and Kokoda Trail Expeditions aims to work closely with TKCP to help lower this frightening statistic. 9. What are your travel plans for 2017? Do you intend to travel overseas on holidays? Are you an outdoorsy type of a person? If so then we'd like to highly recommend the Kokoda trek for you in Papua New Guinea. It's a challenging and an awesome experience and won't dissapoint. You can do it on your own or with a couple of friends to share the experience. It's unique, it's tough, and it's humbling. Humbling because you will be following the footsteps of diggers in WW2, and experiencing the conditions they were exposed to, so you get to appreciate the significance of their sacrifices - fighting for our freedom so we can enjoy it like we do today!
